Board of Health authorizes EFSB intervention in battery facility case

Tewksbury Board of Health unanimously authorizes intervention in battery storage facility case. The five-member Board held an executive session April 23 and voted 5-0 on three substantive motions: to authorize Chair Melissa Braga to submit a noise-impact comment letter to the Energy Facilities Siting Board, to authorize the Chair to submit Board comments on the Langan test pit report, and to approve submission of an advocacy letter to public health and legal advocacy organizations seeking assistance. All votes passed unanimously as the Board pursues its role as an intervenor in the EFSB proceeding regarding the proposed battery energy storage facility.
