Conservation Commission approves transmission line work across six towns

Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 4, 2026

TEWKSBURY — Conservation Commission approves transmission line replacement spanning six towns. Chairman Daniel Ronan, Steve Gove, Linda Darveau, and Thomas Bowley voted unanimously to approve the Notice of Intent and Land Disturbance permit for applicant Andrew Cole, covering approximately 8.27 acres of disturbance and a 3-to-1 wetland replication plan. Alison Millson of BSC Group represented the applicant and National Grid, with work scheduled to begin fall 2026.

The public hearing drew resident concerns about vegetation management, tree removal, and stormwater controls; Chairman Ronan required monthly reports to disclose dewatering activities when groundwater is encountered in wetland complexes.
