Conservation Commission approves two major wetlands projects.

TEWKSBURY — Conservation Commission approves transmission line and flood mitigation wetlands permits. The board unanimously backed a 1.9-mile utility transmission line maintenance project presented by Hannah Raddatz of BSC, which includes replacement of five structures, limited grading, and aggregate stone placement, completed within a single growing season; and separately approved a flood mitigation project on 5.1 acres at 62 Carleton Road and 0 Hill Street, presented by Alex Patterson of EA Engineering, designed to improve flood storage capacity through removal of historic fills and recreational improvements, with work estimated to begin in fall 2026. The commission also continued a Certificate of Compliance request for Kazanjian Enterprises to its February 18 meeting.
