Economic Development Committee approves amended minutes, surveys planned.

Economic Development Committee · Meeting of January 21, 2026

TEWKSBURY — Economic Development Committee approves prior minutes, advances dual survey plans for residents and businesses. The committee, meeting Wednesday night with eight members present, instructed members to develop resident and business surveys to identify missing services, growth barriers, and support needs, with questions limited to 3 to 5 items per survey. Community Economic Development Planner Alex Lowder reported recent inquiries have focused on contractor yards, personal service establishments, and small warehouses, citing October 2025 lease and sales data.

The committee agreed to defer substantive discussion of ongoing projects including the Astle Street Housing Development and Battery Energy Storage System until its mission and scope are formally clarified.
