TEWKSBURY — Finance Committee reviews FY27 school budgets totaling $2.2 million in requested increases. Tewksbury Public Schools Superintendent Brenda Regan and Business Manager David Libby presented a 3.72 percent increase driven by salary adjustments, 13 to 15 percent health insurance cost growth, and 5 percent utility increases, with per-pupil costs rising to $23,195.20. Shawsheen Valley Technical High School Superintendent Tony McIntosh outlined a 6.7 percent increase focused on transportation; he and School Committee Member Patricia Meuse acknowledged responsibility for budget problems identified in late 2024 involving a former Business Manager and delayed state audits.
