TEWKSBURY — Finance Committee recommends most warrant articles for May town meetings. The committee held a public hearing April 27 to review articles for the May 4 Annual Town Meeting and May 6 Special Town Meeting. Chair Richard Levasseur presided over the 5-member panel present, which voted to recommend adoption of a $141,744,765 municipal budget but rejected a $9,560,993 recommendation for Shawsheen Technical School and voted 4-1 to reject a feasibility study for the aging school building, with members citing concerns about obsolete equipment and estimated $100 million HVAC repair costs.
