TEWKSBURY — Finance Committee reviews FY27 enterprise and capital budgets, approves meeting minutes. The committee examined the Cable Enterprise and Telemedia department's $596,000 operating budget with an $8,900 surplus plus $180,000 for a studio at Ella Flemming School, and reviewed DPW budgets including a 21 percent increase in Water Enterprise distribution costs driven by a new $83,000 maintenance position and professional services increases for leak detection. Water rates will rise 6.5 percent and sewer rates 3 percent.

Town Manager John Curran announced the State Hospital water connection will add $800,000 in income and confirmed the town lost a $1 million sidewalk grant due to MBTA Communities Act noncompliance.
