The Commonwealth filed a complaint requiring Tewksbury to zone for 1,214 affordable housing units; failure to comply risks state appointment of a special master and has already cost the town $1.7 million in grant funding. Select Board Chair Mark Kratman and Planning Board Chair Stephen G.
Johnson, Jr., convened both boards and staff to discuss alternatives including District B and Clark Road, excluding Stadium Plaza. The boards deferred a final decision pending additional planning staff analysis.
