Library Board reorganizes; receives $25,000 roof earmark.

Board of Library Trustees · Meeting of April 14, 2026

TEWKSBURY — Library Board reorganizes leadership and prepares for $25,000 earmark. Chair Christopher Castiglione was re-elected unanimously, with Julie Naughton as Vice Chair and Cathy Dwyer as Clerk. Director Diane Giarrusso reported that Senator Finegold's office will visit April 17 to present a $25,000 earmark for roof renovations, with the project scheduled in the long-range capital plan for completion around fiscal 2028.

The board learned the library will lose eligibility for some state grants due to MBTA Communities Act noncompliance, though State Aid will be retained. Staff member Nicole Goolishian is resigning to accept a position at another library.
