Open Space Committee approves February minutes; drafts goals for recreation plan.

Open Space & Recreation Plan Committee · Meeting of March 12, 2026

Tewksbury Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee approved February minutes and advanced draft goals for the spring town meeting warrant. The six-member committee, led by Clerk Paige Impink, reviewed sections of the Open Space plan with consultants Alex Lowder and Megan Tenhoff, directing members to submit two to three sub-goals for each of six main goals to Tom Branchaud. The committee confirmed participation in a public meeting March 24 at Livingston Recreation Center and agreed to summer community market dates.

On stewardship, Bruce Shick reported the Athletic Manager will build boardwalks at Maple Street, and the committee assigned Karyn Sliva to source signage addressing dog waste at Chandler Well Fields, a problem the committee noted occurs at multiple town conservation locations.
