TEWKSBURY — Open Space committee approves December minutes, advances hospital land boardwalk project. Bruce Shick secured a Community Preservation Committee request for $30,190 to fund survey, wetlands identification, and design for two crossings at East and Maple streets; spring town meeting approval would clear the path for build-out in spring 2027. The committee confirmed continuation of its 2025 Winter Tree Walk program despite vandalism at one site, and authorized volunteer removal of graffiti and racial slurs at Rogers Park in spring after police install a monitoring camera.
Seven members attended the working session on Open Space and Recreation Plan goals, completing all actions under Goal 1.
