Open Space Committee approves prior minutes, advances plan sections.

Open Space & Recreation Plan Committee · Meeting of April 9, 2026

TEWKSBURY — Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee advances plan sections to regional agency. The committee approved submission of Open Space Inventory Sections 5 and 6 to NMCOG and tasked Tom Branchaud with scheduling a working group to finalize Section 7, the Action Plan. Conservation agent Abigail reported phragmites surrounding the CWF boardwalk can be managed pending permit modifications; the committee will advise in spring or summer whether to proceed.

Bruce Shick will research with the International Club whether graffiti cleaning at Rogers Park can use wire brushes, and the committee unanimously agreed disease-angle messaging was most effective for dog-waste signage to be ordered by town.
