Open Space panel approves prior minutes, discusses plan progress

TEWKSBURY — Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee moves draft toward completion with regional input. Chair Tom Branchaud organized the plan's goals, objectives, and actions for submission to the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments for analysis, with committee members asked to review the 36-page draft by February 28. The committee noted concerns about tracking too many goals and emphasized that ongoing advocacy for plan implementation will be critical.
John Ryan of Monarch Ranch presented his butterfly habitat program and requested inclusion in the town's Open Space brochure, with Ryan scheduled to present a library program February 28. Eight of nine members attended the meeting.
