TEWKSBURY — The School Committee Policy Subcommittee approved prior meeting minutes unanimously and reviewed eight district policies at various stages toward adoption. Four policies on field trips, student travel, and tobacco use by staff will receive further scrutiny from district leaders and legal counsel before returning to the subcommittee for reconsideration. Three additional policies addressing smoking, substance use, and drug-free workplace standards will advance to the full School Committee for informational reading, with the drug-free workplace policy positioned for first and final reading.

The subcommittee decided to await further guidance on a proposed teen dating violence policy.
