School Committee approves three policies and budget transfer at January meeting

Tewksbury School Committee approves three personnel policies and budget transfer unanimously. The Committee voted 5-0 to adopt policies on student photographs, staff gifts and solicitations, and parent advisory council relations on second and final reading. Superintendent Brenda Theriault-Regan and Business Manager David Libby reported the district is engaged in FY27 budget planning and mid-year strategic plan assessment; Libby announced his retirement effective December 2026.
The Committee approved payroll totaling $3.5 million for two December periods and deferred the 2026-2027 school calendar vote to February pending a parent survey on potential changes to the first day of school.
