TEWKSBURY — Select Board approves new liquor license and raises water rates. The Tewksbury Select Board unanimously approved an all-alcohol liquor license for 1300 Main Café Inc. d/b/a Café Sicilia at 1300 Main Street, with service restricted to midnight, and voted 5-0 to raise water rates 6.5 percent for fiscal year 2027. Town Manager John Curran reported that the water increase will cost most residents $41 or less annually; the town will allocate $455,425 from the Water Stabilization Fund to soften the impact.
The board also voted unanimously to begin scheduling working sessions on long-term water infrastructure planning. The board renewed Verizon New England Inc.'s cable television license for five years, effective May 30, 2026.
