Select Board tables Verizon cable license renewal; approves YMCA extension

TEWKSBURY — Select Board holds public hearing on Verizon cable license renewal, tabling final approval. Town Manager John Curran reported the new five-year license closely mirrors the prior agreement, with cable fees rising 3.5 to 4 percent and the town receiving 4 percent of Verizon gross revenue. Telemedia Director Brian Dorrington said capital payments would be front-loaded over the first two years.
The board also unanimously approved a one-year extension of the YMCA Lease Agreement and accepted three separate donations totaling $180 to the Senior Center and Veterans Department.
