Conservation Commission Orders Prinkle Street Owner to Present Wetland Restoration Plan

TEWKSBURY — November 19, 2025 — Tewksbury Conservation Commission escalates wetland enforcement against a Prinkle Street property owner who continued clearing land after receiving violation notices. The commission voted unanimously at its November 19 meeting to ratify a formal enforcement order against Frank Zioli of 175 Prinkle Street after conservation staff found that the owner had removed trees, pulled stumps, and graded soil several inches down in a wetland no-disturb zone — then stored construction equipment on the cleared area. Member Linda Darveau called the situation clear and said the owner should get "one more chance to come in, and then just kick it to the state." The commission set a January 24, 2026 deadline for Zioli to appear with a restoration plan, after which members will decide whether to require a full Notice of Intent or a Request for Determination of Applicability — or refer the matter to the state DEP, which has already inquired about taking jurisdiction.
