Tewksbury Conservation Commission Approves Livingston Street DPW Project After DEP Review

TEWKSBURY — April 22, 2026 — Tewksbury Conservation Commission clears Livingston Street roadway project and ratifies three emergency utility repairs. The five-member commission, chaired by Daniel Ronan, voted 4-0 Wednesday to approve a Notice of Intent filed by the town's Department of Public Works for improvements to Livingston Street, after engineer Kevin Carter of GCG Associates confirmed he had resolved four outstanding Massachusetts DEP comments described as "more clerical than anything." Member Steve Gove abstained from that vote citing absence at the prior hearing. The board also unanimously ratified emergency certifications for a water main break at 20 Newton Ave, a collapsed sewer pipe at 306 Trull Road, and a failed Title V sewer tie-in at 640 South Street. In other action, the commission approved a three-year permit extension for Jomarie F. Buckley at 105 Starr Ave and a minor drainage modification for Brian Harris at 45 Leighton Lane, and appointed member Linda Darveau to replace Gove as the commission's designee on the Tewksbury Community Preservation Committee.
