Tewksbury Board Orders Trucking Firm Appearance, Suspends 7-Eleven Tobacco Sales
Board of Health · Meeting of February 19, 2026
Tewksbury's Board of Health ordered a defiant trucking company before the board and suspended a 7-Eleven's tobacco sales in back-to-back unanimous votes Thursday. Health Director Shannon told the board that Crescio Trucking had been fined $100 for pre-7-a.m. pickups captured on a neighbor's ring camera, let its annual permit lapse, and told her "how are you going to stop me" when warned it could not operate without a permit — prompting three separate motions requiring a board appearance, payment of the $100 fine plus an $800 doubled permit fee by February 26, and a $500-per-day fine beginning February 27 for any day the firm is found operating without a valid permit. In a separate compliance hearing, store owner Chris Pendleton and manager Peter Sullivan appeared to answer for a January 9 tobacco sale to a minor at 2280 Main Street — the store's second violation in four months — after a clerk bypassed the store's mandatory ID scan policy by scanning her own ID; the board voted unanimously to suspend tobacco product sales for one day on February 24, 2026, the minimum penalty under the board's regulations for a second violation within 36 months.
